John P. Clark (JP) is an Associate with Mullen Coughlin’s Incident Response team. When an organization falls victim to a data privacy and cybersecurity incident, JP assists them in understanding the nature and scope of the attack and in coordinating the investigation and response with forensic investigation firms and other third-party vendors to identify any legal obligations the organization may have that stem from the attack. JP works with organizations of all sizes and across all industry sectors to mitigate the impact of a data privacy and cybersecurity incident effectively and efficiently, all while remaining compliant with all state, local, federal, international and industry-specific data privacy laws and regulations.
JP started at Mullen Coughlin as a Law Clerk, assisting attorneys in legal research and memorandum drafting and revisions. Prior to Mullen Coughlin, he was a Judicial Extern for the Hon. Mark A. Kearney of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. There, he researched, drafted and edited legal opinions on complex federal issues such as, among others, trade secrets; fiduciary duty; diversity jurisdictions; and § 1983 claims.
