Justin A. Rick is an associate attorney at Mullen Coughlin LLC. Mr. Rick focuses his practice on assisting clients with data privacy events, network security, and incident response. In the event of a breach, Mr. Rick supports his clients throughout their investigation and coordinates forensics teams to determine the scope of the breach. Mr. Rick advises clients on interpretation of state, federal, and international data privacy laws and how they are applied to each client’s unique circumstances. Mr. Rick also works with his clients to satisfy any statutory or contractual notification duties triggered by a data event, and in responding to any resulting regulatory inquiry.
Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Mr. Rick worked in the litigation department of a Fortune 200 company based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and in the Pittsburgh office of a large litigation firm where he represented clients in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters. Mr. Rick utilizes his extensive litigation experience to rapidly and successfully assist clients with the challenges of their unique cybersecurity incident.
