Practice Areas

Kathleen M. Laubenstein is an Associate at Mullen Coughlin. She focuses on complex and class-action litigation related to data privacy and cybersecurity issues. She also assists clients in responding to regulatory investigations that arise from data security incidents. Ms. Laubenstein has extensive experience litigating matters in both courts and in arbitration. She also assisted clients at every stage of litigation prior to trial, including representing clients at agency proceedings, helping guide clients on discovery/eDiscovery issues, drafting dispositive motions and negotiating settlements.

Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Ms. Laubenstein primarily practiced employment law, with a focus on restrictive covenants and trade secret matters. In that role, Ms. Laubenstein developed substantial experience in conducting and overseeing internal investigations, including in matters involving allegations of unlawful conduct and regulatory violations. In addition, she has represented clients in connection with disciplinary actions in the financial securities industry.
