Matthew Avellino is an Associate in Mullen Coughlin’s Incident Response practice area. As part of the Incident Response team, Matthew assists organizations in responding to, and investigating, data privacy and security incidents. Working with external forensic investigation firms, as well as other third-party vendors, he counsels these organizations on their legal obligations stemming from the incident, specifically related to state, federal and international laws and regulations around data privacy.
Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Matthew was a Law Clerk for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. He also was a Legal Intern with Wawa, Inc., where he drafted and edited vendor agreements and also prepared California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) impact assessments for current and future digital operations.
Matthew is a former nationally ranked squash player and currently serves on the Elective Committee, Membership Committee and Fitness Committee of the Racquet Club of Philadelphia.
