Matthew Toldero is a Partner at Mullen Coughlin. Mr. Toldero’s practice focuses on privacy and cybersecurity issues, including assisting organizations in responding to data security events and regulatory investigations. Mr. Toldero guides clients through the investigations of suspected data security incidents to determine the scope of the incident, information involved and who may be affected. With this information, Mr. Toldero identifies the applicable state, federal, international and contractual duties arising from the incident and assist clients in satisfying these duties. Mr. Toldero also manages any resulting regulatory inquiries that may follow the discovery of a data security incident.
Before joining Mullen Coughlin, Mr. Toldero worked in risk management for BB&T Bank. Mr. Toldero crafted and executed change management processes, assisted in the development of an enterprise wide regulatory inventory and managed credit, operational and regulatory policies. Mr. Toldero has also represented numerous financial institutions in real estate and collections matters.
