Matthew Toldero is a Partner at Mullen Coughlin and focuses his practice focuses exclusively on data privacy and security incident response. Matt guides organizations through the full lifecycle of an investigation into real or suspected data privacy and security incidents to determine the nature and scope of the incident, identify the data that may be involved and determine who may be affected. With this information, he then identifies the applicable state, federal, international and contractual duties arising from the incident and assist victim organizations in satisfying these duties. Matt also manages any resulting regulatory inquiries that may follow the discovery of a data privacy and security incident.
Before joining Mullen Coughlin, Matt worked in risk management for BB&T Bank. There, he crafted and executed change management processes; assisted in the development of an enterprise-wide regulatory inventory; and managed credit, operational and regulatory policies. He has also represented numerous financial institutions in real estate and collections matters.
