Vy Nguyen is an Associate practicing in Mullen Coughlin’s Incident Response service area. Vy counsels organizations of all sizes and across all industry sectors through the response to, and investigation of, data privacy and security incidents by coordinating with third-party forensic investigators to determine the nature and scope of the incident and advising her clients on their legal and regulatory obligations stemming from the incident. She also represents organizations who are subject to inquiries from state and/or federal regulators as it relates to data privacy and security incidents.

Vy also provides Advisory Compliance services to organizations, including by facilitating tabletop exercises and drafting Incident Response Plans. She also has experience in developing information and data security policies and procedures for organizations as they harden their cybersecurity defense posture to mitigate the chance of a successful data privacy and security incident.

Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Vy was an attorney in the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity practice at a mid-sized full-service defense firm.

Vy is a U.S. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and Europe Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) conferred upon her by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). She is also fluent in Vietnamese.
