On February 21, Mullen Coughlin Partner Carolyn Purwin Ryan and Newfront Insurance’s Jennifer Wilson present at Agsafe’s annual conference, ACTIVATE24.
Presenting the session, “Creating a Cyber Security Risk Mitigation Plan,” Carolyn discusses the cyber risks relevant to farming, agriculture and food distribution organizations and how they can prepare themselves for a data privacy and security incident. Other areas of focus, including cyber insurance and other real-life scenarios, will also be discussed.
Using Mullen Coughlin’s collective experience in responding to nearly 4,000 data privacy incidents last year, Carolyn examines the different types of incidents most prevalent to organizations in the farming, agriculture and food & beverage industries. She explores the incident response process, how an incident at one organization can have trickle down effects on a whole industry and what can be done now to best prepare for a data privacy and security incident. Carolyn and Jennifer will look at how cyber insurance plays a part in the IR process, and using real-life “war” stories, present the best practices for responding and investigating a data privacy and security incident.
Agsafe is a non-profit organization devoted to provided practical health and safety education to the agriculture and farming business communities. ACTIVATE24 is held in Monterey, CA from February 20-21, 2024.
