Kicking off 2024, Mullen Coughlin welcomed five (5) new attorneys to the Firm: Cameron Carr, Samuel K. Bonsall, Cairon Overton, Bradley J. Fenniman and Morgan G. Valeo.
Cameron Carr, a Partner, joins Mullen Coughlin as its first international attorney. Based in London, United Kingdom, Cameron brings nearly a decade of experience in counseling organizations through the incident response process. His experience, gained through both private practice and by working hands-on at global insurance carriers, enables the Firm to respond directly to the needs of its cyber insurance partners for bespoke data privacy and security legal services. Cameron received his LL.B. from King’s College London and practices in England & Wales.
Sam Bonsall joins the Firm’s Incident Response practice group as an Associate in the Devon, PA office, after beginning his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) for the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. As an ADA, Sam gained valuable experience in investigating and prosecuting internet-based crimes. He received his J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
Cairon Overton, an Associate based in Washington, D.C., brings over a decade of national security experience after spending time as a as a Cyber Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). With his deep understanding of the cybersecurity risk landscape, threat vectors and actors/groups and remediation strategies, Cairon is well-positions to counsel clients as they navigate the complex legal and regulatory data privacy and information security landscape. He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C.
Based in New Jersey, Bradley Fenniman is an experienced attorney practicing in the Firm’s Incident Response practice group. With experience in reviewing and analyzing complex agreements and developing privacy policies and other data privacy-related best practices, he is adept at counseling victim organizations on their contractual obligations with third-parties after a real of suspected data privacy and security incident. He is also familiar with numerous U.S. state and federal data privacy and consumer protection laws that underpin the many responsibilities organizations have after a cyber-attack. Bradley is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), is a U.S. Certified Information Privacy Professional and is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York. He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School.
Morgan Valeo joins Mullen Coughlin in the Devon, PA office as an Associate from a full-service law firm where she previously practiced in their Litigation department. She uses her previous experience of reviewing and analyzing insurance policies, service contracts and business agreements to assist her clients in determining legal and contractual obligations stemming from a cyber incident. Morgan is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, and received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.
