Practice Areas

Jacqueline Bucchere is an Associate with Mullen Coughlin and practices in the Incident Response practice area. The majority of her practice focuses on providing Breach Coach services to organizations who have suffered a data privacy and security incident, such as a business email compromise or ransomware attack, among others.

In her role as a victim organization’s Breach Coach, Jacqueline leads the response and investigation into the incident in collaboration with other third-party incident response stakeholders. This includes daily communication with cyber insurance carriers and brokers, law enforcement and other regulatory agencies, forensic investigation firms and the organization’s internal incident response team.

After the incident has been contained, Jacqueline works closely with her clients to identify (a) if any personal or sensitive information has been viewed or exfiltrated, and then (b) determines the legal and regulatory obligations the organization has stemming from the incident. This includes individual and third-party notification, as well as law enforcement and regulatory body reporting (if applicable). She also assists in the procurement of post-incident provisions such as public relations for both internal and external communications, credit and/or identity monitoring as part of a legal requirement and responding to formal regulatory investigations.

Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin for private practice, Jacqueline worked internationally for Novo Nordisk in their global Legal, Ethics & Compliance department. There, in addition to her work on new product launches, she assisted in the design and implementation of policies, procedures and training for new team members.

Jacqueline also worked in Novo Nordisk’s North American Privacy Office. There, she provided support and guidance to create processes to align with new consumer rights regulations; served as primary lead for “cookie banner” development and updates across all North American websites; and developed the company’s inaugural HIPAA training for the North American team. This is experience she carries with her when counseling organizations on their legal obligations prior to, and after, a data privacy and security incident.

Jacqueline received her J.D. from Rutgers University Law School and is licensed to practice in New Jersey.
