Meghan M. Novak is an Associate at Mullen Coughlin and focuses her practice on counseling organizations through data privacy and security incident response. She works closely with forensic investigators and law enforcement to ensure that the incident has been contained. Her incident response experience includes:
- Coordination of incident response services for organizations of all sizes and across multiple industry groups including professional services; energy; financial services; healthcare and life sciences; hospitality and entertainment; government; and retail/e-Commerce;
- Risk assessment and regulatory reporting, including responding to formal regulatory enforcement actions; and
- Payment Card Industry Account Data Compromise assessment response and appeal for all major card brands.
Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Meghan worked at a leading insurance defense firm where she represented clients in a variety of civil litigation matters in state and federal court related to professional liability, labor and employment, educational rights and civil rights.
She earned her J.D. from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, where she was selected for the schoolโs national Moot Court Mock Trial team. Meghan graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
