Practice Areas

Natalie Lussier is an Associate at Mullen Coughlin, practicing primarily in the Firm’s Incident Response practice group. Serving as her clients’ Breach Coach, Natalie responds to, and coordinates, the investigation into data privacy and security incidents for organizations of all sizes and across all industry group sectors. While coordinating third-party incident response vendors such as forensic investigation firms, data mining firms and law enforcement, she counsels her clients on their legal and regulatory obligations stemming from the incident to ensure that they are compliant with all respective laws, statutes and industry standards or requirements.

In addition to her incident response practice, Natalie also provides Advisory Compliance services for organizations who are looking to better prepare themselves for a data privacy and security incident and/or who are trying to develop better cyber hygiene. She works closely with organizations to develop comprehensive privacy policies to ensure pre-incident compliance with U.S. state and international privacy laws and regulations.

Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Natalie was an associate at a full-service law firm where she developed her practice in both data privacy and security, as well as mergers and acquisitions. She also was a Legal Intern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Office of International Affairs. There, she worked on a variety of projects in the areas of regulation, policy, investigations and enforcement. She also assisted in drafting proposed legislation and legal research concerning both domestic and international data privacy laws.
