Brittany Bickel is an associate attorney at Mullen Coughlin. Ms. Bickel focuses her practice on data privacy, network security, and incident response. Ms. Bickel guides clients through all aspects of incident response including determining the nature and scope of the event; working closely with forensic investigators and law enforcement to determine the cause of the incident and to ensure that the breach has been contained; identifying the entities and individuals affected by the event; and assessing the legal duties and compliance with any duties arising out of a data security incident. Ms. Bickel also assists clients with preparing legally compliant notices to affected individuals and appropriate regulators.
Prior to employment with Mullen Coughlin, Ms. Bickel worked as a Mergers & Acquisitions Tax consultant at a Big Four accounting firm where she assisted clients in determining and evaluating the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and refinancings.
