Kellie Hannum is an experienced Associate attorney in Mullen Coughlin’s Incident Response practice group. She provides Breach Counsel services to organizations who have been victimized by a data privacy and security incident such as a ransomware attack, business email compromise, or other unauthorized network intrusion. She routinely interacts with the various incident response stakeholders during the course of her investigation, and working hand-in-hand with them, reviews digital evidence to determine what, if any, legal and/or regulatory obligations – such as notification and regulatory or law enforcement reporting – are necessary as a result of the incident. She also assists her clients in responding to inquiries and follow-up questions from regulatory agencies regarding data privacy and security incidents and organization’s response and investigation into such incidents.

Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Kellie spent more than 10 years litigating a high-volume case load with creditors’ rights law firms, representing original creditors and debt purchasers. She developed valuable contract review and negotiation skills, which have been useful for her practice. She also gained extensive litigation experience in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Kellie received her J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, Colorado and New Jersey, as well as in the U.S.D.C for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Outside of her practice, Kellie volunteers her time interviewing applicants to the Schreyer Honors College at Pennsylvania State University.
