Koye Adeyeye is a Solicitor with Mullen Coughlin UK (MC UK), practicing primarily in the Incident Response practice group. Based in London, he works closely with the MC UK team and his counterparts in the United States to respond to, and investigate, data privacy and security incidents on behalf of organizations across all industry group sectors. As his clients’ Breach Counsel, Koye acts as the primary point of contact for organizations during their response and investigation into a data privacy and security incident, ensuring that that they are compliant with myriad domestic and international data privacy and security laws such as the UK’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), as well as in compliance with regulations under, among others, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Charity Commission. During the course of an investigation, Koye routinely interacts with various external incident response teams including law enforcement, digital forensic and data mining firms, public relation firms and credit/identity monitoring firms. He also maintains regular reporting for his clients’ cyber insurance claims teams to keep them apprised of investigation status, data assessments, costs and, if applicable, notification status to individuals, the media and regulators.
Prior to joining MC UK, Koye was a Cyber Incident Response Solicitor at a UK-based international law firm. During his time there, Koye also completed a legal secondment position with a global insurance broker based in London.
