Adriana Klimkiewicz is an Associate practicing in Mullen Coughlin’s Incident Response practice. As Breach Counsel, Adriana directs the privileged response and investigation into data privacy and security incidents include ransomware attacks, business email compromise (BEC) incidents, fraudulent wire transfers, inadvertent disclosures and other unauthorized network intrusions. Working hand-in-hand with third-party incident response stakeholders, such as digital forensic firms and data mining firms, Adriana assists in first mitigating the effect of the incident on the organization’s operations, while also ensuring that, if applicable, all data privacy and security-related laws and regulations are complied with as a result of the incident. This includes, among other things, reporting the incident to law enforcement and relevant regulatory agencies, notification to affected individuals and other required parties and provisioning credit and/or identity monitoring (in collaboration with a third-party vendor). She also counsels her clients on their response and follow-up to regulatory investigations regarding a data privacy and security incident or other non-compliance of relevant regulations.

Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Adriana was a M&A Associate at a global advisory and consulting firm.

Adriana received her J.D. cum laude from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and a B.A. in Economics from Binghamton University. In addition to fluent English, she is also fluent in both writing and speaking Polish.
