Brendan Brown is an Associate in Mullen Coughlin’s Incident Response practice area. He serves a “Breach Coach” for organizations who have suffered, or are in the midst of, a data privacy and security incident. He works closely with incident response stakeholders – such as cyber insurance carriers and brokers, law enforcement and digital forensic firms – to effectively guide his victim organization clients through the full incident response process. He then counsels his clients on their legal and/or regulatory obligations stemming from the incident, including with notification and law enforcement and regulatory agency reporting, among others.
Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Brendan was a Law Clerk for the Cumberland Couty, NJ Court’s Civil Division.
Brendan received his J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. He served as the “Managing Editor of Outside Articles” for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. He also was a “Student Attorney” at Villanova’s Clinic for Law and Entrepreneurship – assisting small businesses with research related to data privacy laws and regulations and with drafting of website terms-of-use and privacy policies.
