Jacob Saltz is an Associate with Mullen Coughlin and practices in the Incident Response practice group. After a data privacy and security incident has been identified, Jacob serves as the victim organizationโs Breach Coach while responding to, and investigating, the incident. In this role, he not only acts as the liaison between the various incident response stakeholders โ cyber insurance carriers, law enforcement, forensic investigation firms, etc. โ but also counsels the victim organization on its legal, regulatory and contractual obligations stemming from the incident. He also assists in the response to both informal and formal regulatory investigations and follow-ups related to the incident.
Before joining Mullen Coughlin, Jacob was a Compliance Analyst for an investment advisory firm. There, he assisted the Chief Compliance Officer with executing the required compliance controls specified by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and internal management.
After receiving his J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, Jacob was an Associate practicing litigation primarily defending clients in professional, commercial and business liability disputes.
