Kyndal Hutchison is an Associate in Mullen Coughlin’s Incident Response practice. Based and licensed to practice in Ohio, Kyndal focuses her practice on providing Breach Counsel legal services to organizations across all industry sectors who have experienced, or are experiencing, a data privacy and security incident. She works diligently with her clients and the various incident response stakeholders, including cyber insurance claims teams, law enforcement and DFIR firms, to mitigate the effect of the incident and counsel on any legal, regulatory or industry-related obligations stemming from the incident. She also assists in responding to regulatory inquiries and follow-up investigations into data privacy and security incidents.
Kyndal was a Law Clerk with Mullen Coughlin after her graduation from Cleveland State University (CSU) College of Law and before passing the Ohio bar. Prior to that, she interned for a real estate technology company – conducting legal research into U.S. state and federal data breach notification laws and data privacy and information security compliance regulations.
With a long-standing passion for data privacy, cybersecurity and AI governance, Kyndal has devoted her educational and professional career to privacy and security law. As a J.D. student, she was a Founding Member and the President of CSU’s CyberLaw Society, the recipient of CSU School of Law’s 2025 “S. Candice Hoke Cybersecurity Leadership Award” and the Editor-in-Chief of the Global Business Law Review.
