Logan Lessard is an Associate in Mullen Coughlin’s Litigation practice. He focuses on defending organizations in privacy- and security-related single-plaintiff, class action and B2B disputes. He often counsels his clients in litigation related to data privacy and security incidents and data breaches; violations of federal consumer protection and U.S. state privacy laws and other commercial torts; breach of contract; and Tech E&O matters. He brings nearly five (5) years of experience with in-depth legal research on relevant case law; technical review of insurance policies and regulations; and preparing for trial.
Before joining Mullen Coughlin, Logan was a Cybersecurity Claims Counsel for an international cyber insurance carrier. There, he actively managed over 100 open claims while coordinating the data privacy and security incident response efforts with outside legal counsel and forensic vendors. He also drafted and issued cyber insurance coverage position letters for incidents involving ransomware, business email compromise, social engineering fraud and full-scale data breaches. Prior to his work in cyber insurance, Logan worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice of a Big Four consulting firm where he conducted financial and tax due diligence on target companies across multiple industries, with a focus on identifying transactional tax risks and exposures.
Logan is licensed to practice in Connecticut. He received his J.D. cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law.
