Matthew A. Reid is an Associate in Mullen Coughlin’s Privacy Litigation practice, based in Devon, PA. Having over a decade of litigation experience, including with class action and data breach litigation, Matt focuses his practice on defending organizations against single-plaintiff, class action and B2B disputes related to data privacy and security incidents; violations of consumer protection statutes and other data privacy and information security laws and regulations; tech E&O matters; and breach of contract, among others.
When such a dispute arises, Matt works closely with his clients to analyze the complaint(s) to understand the pertinent legal issues and provide viable defense options, taking into consideration his client’s unique needs and wants from the potential litigation. He is adept at reviewing, drafting and filing court motions; discovery; deposition/expert witness handling; and settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and the courts.
Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Matt was a litigator for a small-sized law firm specializing in mass tort litigation and antitrust class actions.
Matt completed his combined J.D./MBA degree from Widener University Delaware Law School and received a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Ursinus College.
He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and has litigated cases in both state and federal courts across the United States.
