Scott Bauer is an Associate at Mullen Coughlin in the Firm’s Incident Response practice group and focuses on data privacy and security incident response. He serves as a dedicated Breach Coach, providing expert guidance and counsel to organizations throughout a data privacy and security incidentโs lifecycle in order to navigate complex privacy and compliance challenges. Additionally, Scott coordinates comprehensive cybersecurity and forensic investigations, collaborating with third-party vendors, cyber insurance carriers and law-enforcement agencies to ensure a thorough and effective response to data privacy and security incidents.
Before joining Mullen Coughlin, Scott spent 10 years as a technical consultant advising public and private sector clients on matters of software development, data center migrations and cross-border data transfers.
Scott graduated from the William and Mary Law School with a focus on privacy and cybersecurity law. His research has been published by the Center for Legal Research and Court Technology.
