Sean P. Bacon is an Associate at Mullen Coughlin and practices in the Firmโs Incident Response practice group. He serves as a Breach Coach for organizations who are the victim of a real or perceived data privacy and security incident. This involves directing the response and investigation into the incident, counseling the organization on their legal and regulatory obligations stemming from the incident and coordinating post-incident services such as credit/identity monitoring, internal and external communications and subsequent regulatory investigation into the incident.
Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Sean was an associate in the Casualty Litigation department at a Philadelphia-based law firm. There, he represented organizations involving claims related to catastrophic and complex third-party workplace injuries.
Sean earned his J.D. from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, where he was selected for the Environmental Moot Court Team and inducted into the Order of Barristers. Following graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Clyde W. Vedder, Supervising Judge of the Civil and Orphanโs Court for the Court of Common Pleas of York County. Sean completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
