Shannon Rafsol is an Associate at Mullen Coughlin, providing organizations who have experienced, or are currently experiencing, a data privacy and security incident with comprehensive incident response legal services. Collaborating closely with third-party incident response stakeholders, Shannon first works to assist in determining the nature and scope of the incident and ensuring that the incident is contained, and no further intrusion is ongoing. She then identifies any legal, regulatory or contractual obligation(s) the victim organization has stemming from the incident – such as reporting to law enforcement and other regulatory agencies, notifying individuals of the incident and providing post-incident services. She also assists organizations in responding to regulatory inquiries from state, federal or industry-related bodies related to data privacy and security incidents and their response and investigation into said incidents.

Shannon re-joined Mullen Coughlin, where she spent the first year of her legal career, from a full-service general liability litigation firm where she defended organizations in construction, premises liability, transportation and products liability matters.

While a J.D. candidate at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Shannon was a member of the National Mock Trial Team.
