Sophie Vincenti is an Associate practicing in the Firm’s Incident Response practice group. She serves as Breach Counsel for organizations who are experiencing a data privacy and security incident such as a ransomware attack, business email compromise (BEC), vendor breach, or other unauthorized network intrusion. As her clients’ Breach Counsel, she leads the privileged investigation into the incident, alongside third-party digital forensic investigators and other incident response stakeholders, to determine the scope and nature of the incident and to advise on the U.S. and international legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations the organization has stemming from the incident. This includes notification, law enforcement and regulatory agency reporting, public relations and communications, and the procurement and effectuation of credit and identity monitoring services for affected individuals, if necessary.

Prior to joining Mullen Coughlin, Sophie was an associate attorney at a nationwide creditors’ rights law firm. There, in addition to her legal representation and management of collection matters, Sophie served on the firm’s AI Oversight Committee, assisting in the development and implementation of firmwide AI use.

As a law student at Cleveland State University College of Law, Sophie was a member of the College’s Cyber Law Society. She received a B.B.A in Economics from the University of Cincinnati.
