Trishual Patel is an Associate in Mullen Coughlin’s Incident Response practice group. He focuses his practice on providing Incident Response services to organizations who have suffered through a data privacy and security incident such as a ransomware attack, business email compromise, inadvertent disclosure, or any other unauthorized network intrusion. As an organization’s Breach Counsel, Trishual leads the privileged investigation and response into the incident, oftentimes collaborating with internal and third-party vendors, in order to identify any legal and/or regulatory obligations the organization has stemming from such incident. This includes notification, law enforcement reporting, regulatory agency reporting, and external communications and post-incident credit and identity monitoring.

Trishual was previously a Law Clerk with Mullen Coughlin, assisting the Incident Response, Regulatory Investigation, and Advisory Compliance practice groups with data breach and other privacy-related law and regulation research. Prior to that, he gained legal experience as an intern with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s Division of Law – Banking and Insurance Division. Prior to law school, he was an Audit Associate with a “Big 4” advisory firm.

Trishual received a B.S. in Finance & Accounting magna cum laude from Drexel University. He received his J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. In law school, Trishual was a Board Member for the Murphy Family Endowed Moot Court Board and received the Raynes McCarty Award for Excellence in Legal Writing.
