YongHan (Sam) Son is an Associate at Mullen Coughlin where he provides incident response services to organizations who have had, or suspect to have had, a cyber incident. Sam works closely with the organization, forensic investigators, industry regulators, law enforcement and other incident response players in identifying the scope of the incident and preparing notification to affected parties, where required.
Prior to joining the firm, Sam was a Deputy Attorney General for the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul M. Yatron of the Berks County (PA) Court of Common Pleas.
While in law school, Sam participated in the Securities Arbitration Consumer Law Clinic and was the President of the Korean Law Students Association.
After graduating from South Korea’s Sungkyunkwan University with a Bachelor of Laws, Sam was a Legal Intern with Sony Computer Entertainment Korea. There, he drafted the first Korean version of Playstation® 4’s “Terms of Use,” and the first Korean version of “End-User Licensing Agreement” for Playstation® 4.
Sam was a Law Graduate Volunteer with Community Legal Services of Philadelphia after his graduation from Syracuse University School of Law. As a member of the Family Advocacy division, Sam conducted legal research on the termination of parental rights, attended hearings on the termination of parental rights and drafted memos and briefs on such issues.
