At the invitation of risk management insurance brokerage TrueNorth Companies, Jennifer A. Coughlin joins the Iowa chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s (HFMA) for their Winter Meeting on January 11, 2023 to speak on the session “Incident Response Planning: How to Respond to a Cyber Breach.”

As all organizations, including healthcare institutions, continue to increase their awareness of the negative impacts a data privacy and security incident can pose on its financials, operations and reputation, they still oftentimes remain in the dark about what to do when an incident occurs. Attendees will leave the session with an understanding of the incident response timeline and the key players involved, as well as best practices to prepare for (and mitigate against) data privacy and security incidents before they occur.
