InsurTech Symposium and the Maguire Academy of Insurance and Risk Management

On Thursday, November 29th, Paul McGurkin presented at the Eos Venture Partners InsurTech Symposium at St. Joseph’s University.
McGurkin’s panel was titled “New Business Models in Insurance” and was moderated by Jonathon Kalman from Eos Venture Partners. The other panelists were, Mary Kotch, Munich Re and former EVP and Global CIO, Validus, Mike Fitzgerald, Senior Analyst, Celent and Tim Attia, Chief Executive Officer, Slice.
The panel covered the emergence of insurance offerings, the ongoing carrier efforts to add new business lines, how insurers can transform to meet policyholder demands and how non-traditional insurance service providers play a role in the transformation of the industry and the traits that define a winner in the insurance space in 10 years.
