2023 Zywave Cyber Risk Insights Conference

Mullen Coughlin is proud to support Zywave’s 2023 Cyber Risk Insights Conference (CRIC), being held in New York, NY on September 27, 2023, with presenters from Mullen Coughlin speaking on two panels – “State of the Market: The Loss Landscape” and “Cyber Litigation to Watch.” Additionally, Mullen Coughlin Co-Founder & Managing Member Jennifer A. Coughlin sits on CRIC’s Advisory Board, assisting with the planning and execution of the Conference.

On the “State of the Market: The Loss Landscape” panel, Mullen Coughlin Partner Carolyn Purwin Ryan is joined by threat and risk mitigation professionals Adam Cottini of Crowdstrike, Michael Rogers of MOXFIVE and Josiah Dykstra of the National Security Agency (NSA) for a dynamic discussion on the current cyber threats that pose the greatest risk to organizations and their cyber insurance partners. Carolyn relies on Mullen Coughlin’s collective experience in handling over 2,000 data privacy and security incidents so far in 2023 in providing attendees real-life examples of incident investigations and related cyber claims.

Partner and Chair of Mullen Coughlin’s Privacy Litigation practice, Claudia D. McCarron, moderates the “Cyber Litigation to Watch” panel. Relying upon Mullen Coughlin’s 15-member (and growing) Privacy Litigation team’s experience defending hundreds of organizations across all industry sectors against claims and litigation under state and federal consumer protection and privacy laws, Claudia leads the panel as it addresses the rise of cyber and privacy litigation, discusses various issues such as contractual liability and comments on how policy language is being interpreted by courts and notable areas of contention and trends.

This hallmark event from Zywave brings together cyber insurance professionals, risk managers and other cyber industry leaders from across the country for one full day of networking, learning and discussions on all topics related to data privacy and security, including the cyber insurance market, privacy litigation, incident response, threat intelligence, emerging trends and more.
