Breaking Your Publication’s Network Security: Legal and Practical Concerns Facing Media Organizations When They Experience a Breach Event

Partner Samuel Sica presents on April 28 via webinar at the University of Kansas School of Law’s Media and the Law Seminar on the panel, “Breaking Your Publication’s Network Security: Legal and Practical Concerns Facing Media Organizations When They Experience a Breach Event.”

Featuring insights from Sam, cyber insurance professionals and media law professionals, the panel is designed to explore the unique ways in which such data privacy and security events impact media organizations. Sam addresses how media organizations can mitigate the impact of a data privacy and security incident; the notification requirements stemming from the incident according to state, federal and industry regulations; and how media organizations can respond to, and recover from, an incident.

Each year, the University of Kansas School of Law and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Media Law Committee host the Media and the Law Seminar. The programming facilitates and encourages dialogue between media and legal professionals about the latest issues and development in media, law and technology. Learn more about the Seminar here.
