Mullen Coughlin was proud to be a Bronze-level sponsor of intouchLive’s second annual Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Symposium on July 14 at Citi Field in New York, New York. In addition, Mullen Coughlin partners Greg Bautista and Carolyn Purwin Ryan joined separate panels to discuss various data privacy and security trends related to incident response, ransomware, and cyber insurance claims.
Carolyn joined the panel, “Claims Trends and Incident Response”, alongside cyber insurance, incident response and federal law enforcement professionals from INSUREturst, Corvus and the United States Secret Service. Carolyn, using statistics and trends gleaned from the nearly 2,000 incidents responded to, and investigated by, Mullen Coughlin so far in 2023 alone, provided insights into the types of data privacy and security incidents organizations are facing and how working closely with cyber insurers and law enforcement can lead to an effective and efficient incident response.
Greg’s panel, “Ransomware and Trends,” examined the increase in ransomware incidents from 2022-2023. In addition to specific statistics from Mullen Coughlin’s unparalleled experience, attendees heard from cyber insurance and incident response professionals from At-Bay and Pondurance, as well as from a FBI – Cyber Criminal Operations agent, on how to best respond to, and protect themselves, from ransomware incidents.
intouchLive’s second annual Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Symposium brought together professionals from cyber incident response, compliance, remediation and cyber insurance for a full day of knowledge sharing, panel discussions and networking.
