Mullen Coughlin Welcomes Two Associates to Incident Response Practice in July

In July, Mullen Coughlin welcomed two (2) new associates to its Incident Response practiceSydney Jackson and Marc Primelo.

Sydney, based in New York, is a former government attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). At Mullen Coughlin, she provides Breach Counsel services to organizations who are suffering from a data privacy and security incident including ransomware attacks, business email compromises (BECs) and other unauthorized network intrusions. She also leverages her government and regulatory experience to counsel and defend clients in regulatory investigations and inquiries stemming from data privacy and security incidents and other privacy-related regulatory scrutiny. Sydney received her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and also holds a M.S. in International Affairs. She is licensed to practice in New York and the District of Columbia, as well as before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Marc Primelo is based in the Devon, PA office and is licensed in Pennsylvania. A former Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, Marc brings a wealth of investigative experience to the Incident Response practice and as Breach Counsel for victim organizations. He works closely with various IR stakeholders, including DFIR firms as well as law enforcement and regulatory agencies, to effectively counsel his clients on their legal and regulatory obligations stemming from a data privacy and security incident. Additionally, he holds a TS//SCI Security Clearance which is leveraged when counseling clients that hold sensitive information not available to the public such as data involving national security. Marc received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and a B.A. from Dickinson College.
