ABA/TIPS Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Conference

The American Bar Association (ABA), in partnership with the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) and the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy and Insurance Coverage and Litigation Committees, hosts their 2nd annual Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Conference in Atlanta, GA from March 3-4, 2022. This year’s conference is entitled “Book It: You’ve Got the Cyber Risks. We’ve Got the Answers.”

Mullen Coughlin Partners Kevin Mekler and John Mullen speak on two panels at this year’s conference: “The Interaction Between Cyber Insurance, Data Breach Response Plans & Cybersecurity Governance” and “Emerging Issues in Cybersecurity & Data Privacy.”

On Thursday, March 3, Kevin and the panel of Rafae Bhatti (Claritas GRC), Dawn Simmons (Willis Towers Watson), Manu Singh (Cowbell Cyber) and Michelle Chia (Zurich), share their insights about the state of the cyber insurance market today and where it’s heading in the future.

On Friday, March 4, John moderates the panel “Emerging Issues in Cybersecurity & Data Privacy” wherein panelists Matt Prevost (Chubb), Rich Fernandez (AmWINS), Marcin Weryk (Coalition) and Justin Corrado (Marsh) discuss the emerging issues facing organizations today such as extortion, lock outs and hackers, among others.
