Mullen Coughlin Welcomes Three New Associates

Mullen Coughlin welcomed three (3) new associate attorneys to the Firm in May 2025 – covering 3 states and both the Incident Response and Advisory Compliance practice groups.

Daniel Yosef, an experienced data privacy attorney and Breach Coach, joins the Incident Response practice group. He has counseled hundreds of organizations across virtually every industry sector in investigating and responding to data privacy and security incidents. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the Firm and practice, particularly as it relates to state and federal data breach notification laws, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and its amendment, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Daniel received his J.D. from Loyola Law School and is licensed to practice in California.

Emily Cannon joins the Firm in Maryland after several years as a cyber strategic planning and policy specialist federal contractor working closely with the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) CMMC Program Management Office. Emily brings to Mullen Coughlin her extensive experience and achievements with the federal government, including the development of a new federal rule relating to cybersecurity standards for all DoD contractors. Emily, previously serving with the United States Marine Corps. as a Signals Intelligence Analyst, is fluent in Arabic and also has a TS//SCI Security Clearance. She received her J.D. from the University of Baltimore Law School and is licensed to practice in Maryland.

Brooks Goode joins the Advisory Practice Group in Colorado. A U.S. Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Brooks focuses his practice on counseling organizations across all industry sectors with pre-incident and proactive data privacy, information security and incident response preparedness. His experience as a Senior Privacy Analyst for a global telecommunications company, where he drafted privacy impact and threshold assessments and determined privacy risk levels based on CCPA/CPRA and GDPR, allows him to effectively counsel his clients on their development of comprehensive compliance programs related to their industry group sector, location, size and cyber risk profile. He received his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and is licensed to practice in Colorado, Illinois and Missouri.
