So You Have Had a Cyber Incident – Cyber Hot Shots, Part Deux

At the Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management & Patient Safety’s (FSHRMPS) 43rd Annual Meeting & Education Conference, Partner Kevin Mekler presents in the breakout session “So You Have Had a Cyber Incident – Cyber Hot Shots, Part Deux” on August 25 from 8:00 am-9:00 am. Kevin is joined by Greg DeLoach, Angela Lee and Mark Landers of Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA).

Following last year’s presentation, “Cyber Risk at ‘DEFCON 1 Level’,” this session examines new threats in data privacy and security – including new attack weapons, attack vectors and threat actors; Mullen Coughlin managed over 2,000 data privacy and security incidents so far in 2023. Kevin provide attendees with an overview of current cyber trends impacting the healthcare and life sciences industry. He details how a victim organization can effectively and efficiently investigate the incident and prepare for the future. The panel also examines other data privacy issues such as website trackers and pixels, RDP attacks and triple-threat extortion. It addresses how cyber insurance provides an extra layer of protection so that organizations can mitigate potential financial, operational and reputational harm.
