Mullen Coughlin UK (MC UK) and Cameron were recently named as “Highly Commended” in two (2) categories at Intelligent Insurer’s Cyber Insurance Awards Europe 2026 – “Cyber Insurance Incident Response Provider of the Year” and “Cyber Insurance Lawyer of the Year.” John F. Mullen was named as the “Cyber Insurance Legend” at the Cyber Insurance Awards USA 2025.
Speaking at the Intermediaries and Reinsurance Underwriters Association’s (IRUA) Annual Underwriting & Claims Conference, Mullen Coughlin Partner and Chair of the Litigation practice group Carolyn Purwin Ryan joins a panel of cyber insurance professionals on the general session, “Cyber – Where is the Market Today” on April 28 in Delray Beach, Florida.
Moderated by Munich Re’s SVP Paul Needle, this session reviews the current state of the cyber insurance market, how cyber risk is being underwritten in new policies, and how insurers, brokers, and legal professionals are shaping how organizations better defend themselves against cyber threats and how to detect, contain, and recover from data privacy and security incidents and resulting litigation or regulatory investigation.

MC UK Managing Partner Cameron Carr serves on this year’s Conference Advisory Board, assisting with conference planning and logistics including content selection, agenda planning, and speaker selection, as well as presents on the panel session, “The Current Threat Landscape.”
Moderated by Tokio Marine’s Chief Cyber Services Officer Catherine Lyle, the panel including Cameron and cyber insurance and DFIR professionals will examine today’s cyber threat landscape – including threat actor motivation and tactics, the rise of AI, ransomware, and geopolitics – and provide forward-looking insights and best practices needed for organizations and their insurance partners to prepare for, and defend against, a range of diverse and potentially business-halting data privacy and security incidents.
